If you go in the dining room, you’ll see the tables have chairs for five or seven. And you’re always welcome at any table.

What's it like to live at Skyline?

Our residents talk about what makes living at Skyline so special.

And they explain in their own words why they chose Skyline.

How important was the concept of Life Care in your decision? “Huge. The terms ‘continuing care’ and ‘Life Care’ get confused by a lot of people. While there are all kinds of continuing care communities, Life Care at Skyline is just unmatched. They offer everything – assisted living, skilled nursing, memory support – and the extensive fitness and wellness offerings to keep you healthy. But if you need it, with Life Care, if one person moves to The Terraces, the other person can stay home in their apartment.” – Jim & Sue VanLeuven

What do you love about Skyline’s First Hill location? “We could see ourselves here. We’ve lived in Seattle for 52 years, and we’ve always lived within three miles of Skyline’s location. It’s two blocks from Dick’s office, and it’s an incredible location. We like keeping up with our old friends and our old neighborhood a couple of days a week.” – Dick & Peggy Dion

Has it been easy to make new friends at Skyline? “Oh, yes! It’s just started a whole new lifestyle for me. There is such a great collection of bright people here. It’s really fun to be involved with them. I started a bridge club and a scrabble club. There’s a mahjong night and movie nights. The other night we had a lecture on Asian history by a resident who had been an Asian history professor. I also enjoy visiting the symphony, the opera and to the Seattle Art Museum. It’s just wonderful.” – Jean Donohue
